The launch addresses a key challenge in the insurance sector: the time-consuming nature of manual research, which often slows underwriting workflows and leads to inconsistent decision-making, according to FF News.
Founded to bring AI innovation into insurance, Sixfold is developing a suite of agents to support underwriters in their daily tasks, helping them make faster and more informed decisions.
The new Research Agent is designed to eliminate bottlenecks by sourcing and synthesising relevant risk data from the internet and trusted third-party sources. Delivered directly within the underwriter’s workflow, the tool enhances productivity and reliability of information.
Research Agent helps insurers cut quoting times from days to hours, making them more competitive in winning business. It ensures consistency by sourcing and citing all data in an audit-ready format, while also strengthening risk assessments through a fuller view of exposures.
Sixfold reports that underwriters using the Research Agent save at least two hours per submission, freeing them to focus on higher-value work such as engaging brokers and optimising portfolios. Early users have praised its ability to deliver relevant and actionable insights without disrupting existing processes.
