CarTrawler, the Dublin-based B2B technology platform for car rental and mobility solutions, has acquired Koala, a Paris-based B2B InsurTech firm specialising in customer-focused travel insurance products.
The acquisition marks CarTrawler’s entry into the InsurTech sector and strengthens its ambition to become a multi-product ancillary platform for the global travel industry, according to FF News.
Koala’s API-first technology and innovative products, including “Cancel For Any Reason” and automatic trip disruption cover, will be embedded into CarTrawler’s platform to create new revenue streams for partners while enhancing the booking experience for travellers.
