Broadridge rolls out ISO 20022 cash messaging

Broadridge Financial Solutions has successfully implemented full ISO 20022 cash processing capabilities across its post-trade platform, ensuring its global bank and broker-dealer clients are prepared well before the November 2025 Swift Standard Release deadline.

The upgrade marks a significant step in the financial industry’s transition to the new global messaging standard, which will replace older formats with more data-rich and structured communication.

Broadridge head of international post-trade solutions Danny Green said, “At Broadridge, we are committed to making sure that our clients are positioned to use mandatory change as a springboard for growth.

“The Swift ISO 20022 transition marks the most significant change in Swift messaging that the financial markets have seen in more than 20 years. As an industry leader, we have implemented this change across our post-trade platform, de-risking the transition for clients and minimizing their cost to implement. As a result, our clients are not only compliant with the November 2025 deadline, ahead of schedule, but are positioned to take advantage of the enhanced capabilities that ISO 20022 provides.”

The ISO 20022 framework provides advanced message processing capabilities, offering improved flexibility and richer data compared with legacy systems. It enables financial institutions to exchange more detailed information, boosting transparency and accuracy across payments and post-trade processes.

Broadridge has emphasised that its strategy for implementation goes beyond compliance. By creating a solid foundation for future enhancements, the company is helping clients stay agile in the face of ongoing market changes. This forward-looking approach supports clients in leveraging upcoming developments within the ISO 20022 standard, positioning them to benefit from longer-term improvements in efficiency and reporting.
