Wordwatch has launched its expanded compliance suite for regulated organisations, introducing unified capture, data governance and reconciliation within a single integrated solution.
The company said the launch was prompted by mounting regulatory pressure and the risks created by outdated systems. Research carried out by Wordwatch found that only 17% of regulated firms have a unified compliance archive for voice and digital communications, while more than three quarters still depend on disconnected recorders and legacy systems. This reliance leaves firms at greater risk of non-compliance and potential penalties.
Wordwatch provides communications governance solutions purpose-built for regulated organisations. Its services support compliance, surveillance, legal and IT teams, helping them control, protect and manage both voice and digital communications. With archiving at its core, the platform creates an audit-ready foundation that simplifies compliance and provides transparency into records.
The newly launched Wordwatch Compliance Platform builds on this foundation. It is designed to centralise and secure communications data, capture conversations in real time or retrospectively, automate policy enforcement and enable audit-ready governance. The platform also integrates continuous monitoring and validation tools to ensure completeness, continuity and integrity across all communications records.
Additional product components include Wordwatch Archive, a central repository that preserves authenticity and reduces regulator response times; Wordwatch Capture, which brings all conversations under one umbrella; Wordwatch Govern, which automates policy enforcement and supports AI-powered investigations; and Wordwatch Assure, which provides proof-of-capture and exception monitoring to reduce manual processes and prepare firms for audits.
The launch comes alongside survey findings that reveal widespread fragmentation across the compliance lifecycle. Only a third of firms surveyed reported having automated surveillance workflows with audit trails, while many admitted to gaps in capturing data from contact centres and online meeting platforms. Around 40% said they were missing some contact centre data, and 34% said they were not fully capturing communications from platforms such as Zoom. Just 27% of firms confirmed they had end-to-end visibility across all communications data.
Wordwatch managing director William Davenport said, “The survey findings underscore the real-world pressure compliance teams now face: near-constant scrutiny from regulators – with some firms being asked for full records every couple of weeks – and the risk of fines or enforcement action if they cannot retrieve complete communications records quickly, accurately and defensibly. That’s where the new Wordwatch Compliance Platform excels for regulated organisations. This is no longer about ticking boxes, but about real risk. When regulators are asking you for complete records every couple of weeks, you can’t afford blind spots or manual processes, and you need to make sure your record-keeping is adhering to regulations.”
He added, “Our clients, from smaller firms through to Enterprise, want a platform they can trust, not just to store data but to future-proof their operations and prove compliance, fast. Wordwatch delivers confidence across every channel, region and retention policy without complexity or compromise, and we’re proud to be making enterprise-grade compliance software accessible to firms of all sizes, not just the biggest players.”
