Eventus introduces Frank AI to enhance risk analytics

Eventus has launched Frank AI, a new artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for financial compliance teams and surveillance analytics.

The launch underscores Eventus’ commitment to helping institutions improve operational transparency and meet regulatory demands through AI-driven, explainable, and auditable technology.

Frank AI was developed in response to the growing need for compliance and surveillance tools that balance advanced analytics with full regulatory accountability. As financial institutions grapple with increasingly complex trading environments, Eventus’ deterministic AI architecture ensures secure, repeatable, and transparent results that can stand up to audits and regulatory scrutiny.

Founded to deliver scalable risk and trade surveillance solutions, Eventus has long been recognised for its Validus platform, which supports clients across global markets. The firm’s solutions are used by financial institutions to detect market abuse, monitor trading behaviour, and enhance compliance processes.

Frank AI integrates directly into the Validus platform and uses technologies such as natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) to help users automate complex tasks, enhance detection accuracy, and reduce false positives. The solution is compatible with multiple public LLMs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, allowing it to evolve in step with the latest AI advancements while maintaining enterprise-grade security and data protection.

A key feature of Frank AI is its conversational query interface, which allows users to interact with Validus data using plain English. This enables compliance analysts to ask complex questions and receive precise, auditable answers without coding expertise. The system automates time-consuming processes like report generation and data querying, dramatically improving efficiency and transparency.

For instance, instead of manually running complex database queries, an analyst could request Frank AI to “show all cross-market wash trading patterns involving equity and futures for a client over the past 30 days.” The system would analyse relevant datasets across multiple asset classes and generate comprehensive results with full audit trails, turning hours of manual work into seconds.

Unlike traditional generative AI tools, Frank AI delivers deterministic, repeatable outputs rather than probabilistic interpretations. Its design ensures data security by keeping all information within the host environment and training exclusively on Validus-specific datasets to maintain contextual accuracy.

Eventus CEO Travis Schwab said, “We’re excited about the groundbreaking nature of Frank AI and the power it puts into our clients’ hands for compliance and risk analysis. It provides extreme flexibility, adapting to different analytical needs and user expertise levels. We’ve spent the past year investing significantly in processing infrastructure to provide us with much greater scale to handle the needs of the world’s largest financial institutions. As we transition our clients to the new architecture, they can deploy Frank AI within hours, enjoy seamless integration with their existing technology infrastructure and leverage the full range of capabilities it will provide. Clients in beta testing have been enthusiastic about its effectiveness and potential.”

Eventus vice president of product management Martina Rejsjö said, “Frank AI sets a new standard for AI in financial compliance by solving the fundamental challenge that has prevented widespread AI adoption in regulated environments – the need for deterministic, auditable and secure AI responses. Frank AI delivers consistent, traceable results that compliance teams can trust and regulators can verify. Our commitment to the need for explainability and regulatory readiness has defined our AI roadmap. This breakthrough enables our clients to harness the power of AI while maintaining full regulatory compliance and operational control.”

The introduction of Frank AI marks the next stage in Eventus’ evolution as a leader in RegTech innovation. Having leveraged machine learning for years in alert remediation, the company now combines automation, advanced analytics, and explainability in one unified platform for compliance professionals worldwide.
