Berlin-based FinTech Pliant, a credit card start-up, has appointed Paul Harrald as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
The appointment comes as the company expands into the US market, according to Finance FWD.
Pliant provides corporate credit card solutions and is currently focused on international growth, including its planned entry into the US.
Harrald joins Pliant with extensive experience in the FinTech and technology industries. He previously served as group CFO at British card start-up Curve and worked as a credit and risk advisor at Google.
The company recently raised €35m to support its international expansion. The funding round was led by Illuminate Financial and Speedinvest, with participation from existing investors PayPal Ventures and Motive Ventures.
