RegTech Solutions and Accertify, a global leader in fraud prevention and digital identity solutions, have announced a new referral partnership aimed at enhancing account protection across Australia’s financial services industry.
The collaboration seeks to help superannuation funds, wealth managers and investment platforms tackle the rising threat of account takeover and digital fraud. With Australia’s superannuation market now worth more than AU$4tn, institutions face mounting pressure to strengthen security measures without compromising the customer experience.
Under the partnership, RegTech Solutions will use its strong network within Australia’s financial services sector to introduce Accertify’s advanced account protection solutions. Accertify’s platform combines behavioural and device analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning insights, and global consortia data to detect and mitigate suspicious activities. This layered fraud prevention approach allows organisations to move beyond rigid multi-factor authentication (MFA), enabling seamless and secure digital experiences for legitimate users.
RegTech Solutions is an Australian-based consultancy that works with financial institutions to navigate complex regulatory environments through technology-driven compliance solutions. The firm specialises in helping organisations adopt RegTech tools to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
Accertify, part of the American Express group, provides enterprise-level fraud prevention, chargeback management, and digital identity solutions to leading global brands. Its technology processes more than US$1.2tn in gross merchandise value annually across 14bn events (approximately AU$1.7tn), offering proven scalability and reliability for large financial institutions.
This collaboration represents a major step toward enhancing fraud resilience across the Australian financial landscape. It builds on both firms’ shared goal of empowering institutions to secure accounts, protect their brands, and deliver a frictionless digital experience for customers.
RegTech Solutions managing director Hugh Treweeke said, “Superannuation and wealth platforms need to find the balance between security and customer experience. By working with Accertify, we can give institutions access to technology that strengthens protection of member accounts while reducing unnecessary friction. This is a meaningful step forward in addressing fraud risks in Australia’s financial sector.”
Accertify VP & GM APAC Luke Dynan said, “This partnership extends Accertify’s ability to help Australian financial services organizations protect their customers and their brands from fast-evolving threats. By combining RegTech’s deep connections in the industry with Accertify’s technology and global scale, we can deliver stronger account protection and a smoother digital experience to institutions across Australia.”
