KYC Portal launches Self Check-In for instant ID verification

KYC Portal has introduced its Self Check-In module, a new capability that enables users to trigger manual identity verification (ID&V) requests directly from the platform’s back-office system.

The new module allows KYCP users to send verification links to individuals, who can complete the process using their mobile devices. The recipient is guided through taking a selfie and uploading an identification document, with two-factor authentication (2FA) ensuring that the process remains secure.

As one of the most advanced real-time due diligence platforms on the market, KYCP helps organisations automate the entire compliance lifecycle—from onboarding and verification to ongoing monitoring. The Self Check-In feature builds on this foundation by allowing institutions to handle ID&V entirely within the KYCP ecosystem, eliminating the need for third-party integrations.

Previously, KYCP clients who required identity verification would often rely on external service providers to perform this step, adding time and complexity to their workflows. With the Self Check-In module, verification can now be initiated in seconds at the click of a button. The process is powered by KYCP’s Pay As You Go token system, offering both flexibility and cost efficiency for users.

Once an individual completes the verification, the system automatically records all relevant details, including their identity confirmation status, audit trail, and document authenticity. KYCP’s advanced automation ensures this information is stored securely within the entity profile, helping firms remain compliant with regulatory requirements.

The module also leverages optical character recognition (OCR) technology to extract data from identification documents, mapping it to predefined fields in KYCP. This data can trigger additional workflows such as risk scoring, due diligence levels, or document screening—depending on each organisation’s configuration.

Although this marks the initial release of the Self Check-In feature, KYCP has already begun developing further automation enhancements to expand its orchestration capabilities. For more, read the full story here
