Atrium has deployed Sofix’s BrokerBrief solution to bring AI-powered claim analysis and summaries directly into its claims workflow across all classes of business.
The deployment sees the Lloyd’s specialty insurer integrate BrokerBrief into its claims management system, enabling the platform to automatically convert early claim information and supporting documentation into structured summaries attached to each claim record.
Developed by InsurTech Sofix, BrokerBrief is designed to simplify the early stages of claims handling by transforming fragmented information from emails, attachments and broker notes into a concise, continuously updated overview.
The system effectively modernises the traditional claim brief provided by brokers, consolidating key claim details, validation checks and coverage parameters into a single output that updates automatically as new documents are added.
By structuring and refreshing claim data throughout the lifecycle, the tool also lays the groundwork for predictive analytics and decision-support capabilities, helping claims teams accelerate triage and produce more consistent, data-driven outcomes.
Carla Viana, Chief Data Scientist at Sofix, said, “BrokerBrief turns unstructured claims information into a structured, continuously refreshed view of the claim, helping handlers and adjusters act faster and make better-informed decisions. Instead of piecing together the position from multiple sources, teams get a clearer starting point straight from the file.”
Andrew Johnson, Delegated Authority Oversight and Ops Support Leader at Atrium, added “Claims are the moment of truth; they’re the reason our clients buy insurance. Our focus has always been on delivering a fast, seamless claims experience, and this new tool elevates that even further. By driving real efficiencies for our brokers and clients, we’re helping them get back on their feet faster and move forward with confidence.”
The deployment builds on Sofix’s integration with the Insurers’ Market Repository (IMR), enabling insurers and managing agents to extract and analyse large claims files and convert unstructured materials – including adjuster reports, broker correspondence and expert documentation – into actionable insights.
The technology allows claims teams to review complex documentation more efficiently, identify trends and maintain compliance with Lloyd’s market processes.
The rollout represents a further step in Atrium’s adoption of technology to enhance claims handling, while supporting Sofix’s broader aim of bringing AI-powered automation to complex claims workflows across the London insurance market.
