AI underwriting platform Sixfold has partnered with Munich Re to integrate its technology into Realytix Zero, the reinsurer’s cloud-based automated underwriting platform.
The integration enables insurers using Realytix Zero to incorporate Sixfold’s AI-powered risk analysis directly into underwriting workflows, creating an end-to-end digital process for evaluating, pricing and binding insurance risks.
Realytix Zero is designed to allow insurers to build, launch and scale digital underwriting products without requiring significant IT resources. With Sixfold now embedded into the platform, submissions entering the workflow are automatically reviewed and enriched with external and third-party data.
The system surfaces key risk signals aligned with an insurer’s underwriting appetite and generates an “appetite fit” score, helping teams quickly prioritise submissions.
AI agents can also assist with underwriting decisions by streamlining tasks such as referrals, while the platform automates downstream processes including rating, quoting and binding. Underwriters can review enriched risk data, adjust pricing, and decide whether to quote, bind or decline a submission.
The platform also supports broader lifecycle management, including handling referrals, endorsements and renewals.
Florian Niklas, Co-Founder of Realytix Zero and Head of Underwriting Technologies at Munich Re, said, “Our partnership with Sixfold reflects the direction underwriting technology is taking. By combining Realytix Zero’s product development and workbench capabilities with Sixfold’s risk analysis, insurers can get products into the market quickly, reduce manual review, and make underwriting decisions faster and more consistently. Sixfold has built a strong reputation in the market and understands the complexity of underwriting, which is why we’re excited for this partnership.”
Roger Ferrandis, Head of Partnerships at Sixfold, added, “Realytix Zero is used by insurers around the world to run their underwriting workflows. Bringing Sixfold into that environment enables underwriters to review submissions faster while maintaining high-quality risk selection and a healthy portfolio. Sixfold is built to integrate with the systems underwriters already use, and this partnership is a great example of that in action.”
By bringing submission intake, risk analysis and underwriting decision support into a single workflow, the integration aims to reduce manual review and enable insurers to deliver quotes more quickly without compromising underwriting quality.
The integration is now available to insurers using the Realytix Zero platform.
