Q4 launches AI-native CRM for investor relations

Q4, a leading provider of AI-driven investor relations (IR) software supporting more than 2,600 global brands, has introduced AI-native customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities within its IR platform, marking a significant development in how public companies handle and act on investor engagement data.

The new functionality is powered by Q, Q4’s AI agent for investor relations officers (IROs), and introduces a generative AI approach to CRM, enabling IR teams to interact with their data through natural language queries and receive immediate answers. The system automatically captures, organises and interprets activity across meetings, contacts and investor interactions.

Among the key capabilities included in the launch are AI-powered activity capture, which automatically logs meetings and notes via chat or file uploads, and an Outlook calendar integration that converts calendar events into CRM meeting records. Teams can also generate AI-produced briefing books ahead of meetings, upload bulk conference schedules for automatic parsing, and access Q4’s proprietary database of over one million contacts and institutions, refreshed each quarter.

IR teams have historically relied on CRM systems to track investor meetings, log feedback and maintain relationship histories. However, as the volume and complexity of meeting data has grown, many traditional CRM tools have struggled to keep pace, leaving IROs to manage significant manual data entry, Q4 said. The new offering is designed to address this, shifting teams away from data management and towards relationship management by enabling instant insight generation within existing workflows.

The capabilities also allow teams to query CRM data conversationally, analyse interaction histories to identify trends and shifts in investor sentiment, highlight engagement gaps, prioritise outreach strategies based on historical signals, and produce dynamic performance reports.

The launch builds on Q4’s recent platform developments, including Answer Engine Optimisation for IR Web and integrated Digital Conferencing, and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to unify data, workflows and intelligence across its platform.

Q4 founder and chief strategy officer Darrell Heaps said, “One of the most challenging parts of traditional CRMs is simply that they are a pain to use, requiring users to navigate screens, click drop-downs, and fill in forms. This often leads to incomplete meeting notes and very little ability to analyze data in the future.

“With Q as the interface for our AI-native CRM, we’ve upgraded this to an intuitive and reliable experience where you work directly with the AI, and it handles the CRM use cases. Tasks like searching for a contact, logging a meeting, or preparing for a sell-side conference are now all extremely easy to accomplish, because the AI does the work for you.”
