One Identity names Randy Menon as CPMO

One Identity, a unified identity security provider, has named Randy Menon as its new chief product and marketing officer (CPMO), bringing over 20 years of enterprise software leadership to the role.

Menon will take responsibility for product management and marketing as One Identity works to expand its capabilities in identity and privileged access management, addressing the increasingly complex identity security challenges its customers face.

He joins from Tanium, where he served as senior vice president of product, overseeing product strategy and development across its endpoint management and security platform. Prior to that, he held senior vice president and general manager positions at TIBCO and Cloud Software Group, guiding large-scale platform modernisation efforts across global product, engineering and operations teams.

The appointment consolidates product and marketing responsibilities under a single leader, a move One Identity says is intended to reduce the gap between customer needs and product delivery. The company is pressing ahead with a SaaS-first strategy, aiming to offer the technical depth traditionally associated with on-premises software without requiring customers to manage infrastructure themselves. The shift comes as organisations increasingly move away from network-centric security models in favour of identity-led approaches, with machine and agentic identities growing rapidly across enterprise environments.

One Identity describes itself as a trusted leader in unified identity security, with a platform and customer base focused on helping organisations see and govern activity across their environments, covering both human and non-human identities.

Menon’s arrival is framed as part of a broader period of deliberate investment at One Identity, with the company focused on delivering measurable value to customers whilst strengthening its SaaS-first portfolio. Customer expectations are shifting towards fully managed, cloud-delivered solutions that reduce operational burden and allow organisations to concentrate on their core business priorities.

One Identity CEO Praerit Garg said, “Randy is a product leader with decades of operational experience and has developed a strong instinct and mechanism to deeply understand what customers want. The way enterprises manage both human and non-human identities is changing faster than at any point in the last decade. It is critical that our products continue to grow in step with those challenges. Randy will play a central role in aligning our product innovation and go-to-market strategy to help customers simplify and strengthen their identity security posture.”

One Identity CPMO Randy Menon said, “The scope of what enterprises are being asked to secure has changed enormously in the last few years. AI is now taking real actions inside core business systems, and non-human identities have come to outnumber employees on most networks. The traditional perimeter no longer offers much protection. Identity is the layer that ties all of it together, and One Identity has the platform and the customer base to lead through this shift. That’s why I am here.”
