Hawk hires CCO to scale AI crime-fighting tools

Hawk, a global provider of AI-powered anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud prevention technology, has appointed Daniel Marshall as its chief customer officer (CCO).

Marshall joins Hawk with more than 25 years of experience building and scaling customer organisations for enterprise software and AI platform providers, with a background spanning financial institutions and government agencies. He previously held senior global leadership roles at Chainalysis, C3 AI, and ServiceNow.

The appointment is intended to strengthen Hawk’s customer success function as financial institutions move beyond early AI experimentation toward large-scale deployment. Marshall’s remit will focus on helping clients extract ongoing measurable value from Hawk’s technology as adoption of AI in financial crime and compliance continues to accelerate.

Hawk delivers machine learning, generative AI and agentic AI capabilities to financial crime and compliance workflows for global financial institutions. The company recently reported results from its deployment at Commerzbank, where the bank recorded improved alert accuracy alongside a reduction in false positives.

Hawk CEO and co-founder Tobias Schweiger said, “Hawk’s continued growth mirrors the ever-increasing adoption of AI in financial crime and compliance. As banks and payment firms move from AI experimentation to full-scale deployment, Daniel’s experience in scaling teams focused on driving ongoing customer value will be very important. His appointment reinforces our commitment to being a true partner in our customers’ mission to fight financial crime.”

Hawk CCO Daniel Marshall said, “Hawk is delivering a genuinely differentiated, AI-native product in an industry that is undergoing a generational shift. Financial institutions are under increasing pressure to improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of their compliance programs. The shift toward agentic AI, particularly in the autonomous investigation of alerts, is accelerating. I look forward to helping our customers scale their use of Hawk’s technology to turn complex data into a strategic advantage in the fight against financial crime.”
