Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions, the London-based specialist wholesale broking arm of H.W. Kaufman Group, has gone live on the insurance management platform developed by Novidea, a cloud-native InsurTech provider.
The deployment sees Novidea’s end-to-end platform rolled out across three London Market trading entities within Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions, covering third-party coverholder business, first-party binders and bulking lineslips, as well as open market placements. More than 100 users across multiple regions are now operating on the system, which spans over 40 lines of business including casualty, marine, property and specialty.
Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions selected the platform with several priorities in mind: consolidating its broking operations under a single end-to-end system across multiple geographies, introducing real-time data reporting to support performance management, reducing operational inefficiencies, and achieving a swift route to production. The system was delivered within months of the decision to proceed.
On the technical side, the implementation includes the creation and management of London Market documentation such as LPANs, MRCs and invoices, electronic connectivity via Web Connectivity for A&S, CLASS and BSM messaging, and bi-directional document and data transmission between Novidea and Whitespace to accelerate and streamline business placement.
Novidea is a cloud-native, data-driven InsurTech platform serving brokers, agents, MGAs and MGUs across the insurance distribution lifecycle. Its open API architecture integrates front, middle and back offices, and its AI-ready system provides users with a 360-degree view of customers and policies accessible across any device. The company serves more than 380 customers globally.
Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions, meanwhile, operates from offices in London and Amsterdam, delivering specialist wholesale insurance solutions across property and casualty, professional, marine and specialty lines as part of the privately-owned H.W. Kaufman Group, which has the capability to conduct business in more than 90 countries.
H.W. Kaufman Group International strategy and operations director Harpreet Sanghera said, “Choosing Novidea was an investment in a best-in-class platform that gives Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions an immediate competitive advantage. We now have a core end-to-end platform with integrated workflows, connected services, reliable data and real-time visibility across regions that aims to reduce costs and enhance service for clients and partners. Given the complexities of the London market, we are pleased to have delivered the platform swiftly and collaboratively.”
Novidea SVP global delivery Adi Toppol said, “Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions has taken a decisive step toward scalable, fast, high-control growth. Going live at pace reflects the strength of our partnership, collaboration and our shared vision for modernising London Market operations. We look forward to building on this momentum and supporting further transformation across H.W. Kaufman International.”
