UECU taps InvestiFi to embed digital investing

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU), a full-service US credit union, has teamed up with digital investing solutions provider InvestiFi to embed investment capabilities into its digital banking platform.

The tie-up will let members buy stocks, ETFs and digital assets straight from their checking accounts, without leaving the online banking environment they already use. Members will receive access to InvestiFi’s complete range of investment offerings, spanning professionally managed portfolios, self-directed trading covering upwards of 6,500 stocks and ETFs, and digital asset investing.

Alongside the investing tools, InvestiFi will supply UECU’s membership with financial education resources aimed at boosting financial literacy and encouraging informed, long-term planning within a secure banking setting.

UECU serves more than 64,000 members across the US, with membership open to staff of utility and energy firms as well as Pennsylvania residents. Operating as a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it passes value back to members via competitive rates, affordable lending, rewards and financial wellness support.

The institution sits among only 4% of American credit unions to hold BauerFinancial’s Best of Bauer status, having maintained the firm’s top 5-Star rating for financial strength over 35 consecutive years. S&P Global also placed UECU within the top 10% of credit unions holding over $100m in assets for overall financial performance in 2025, it said.

InvestiFi is an InvestTech platform built to enable trading to and from deposit accounts, helping credit unions and community banks hold onto assets and win new account holders. Its mission centres on democratising investing and backing community financial institutions so wealth-building opportunities reach everyone.

Utilities Employees Credit Union president and CEO Bret Krevolin said, “Partnering with InvestiFi was a natural next step for us as we continue to enhance our members’ digital banking capabilities. As their trusted financial partner, we are dedicated to delivering digital experiences that not only address their everyday banking needs but also empower them to achieve their long-term financial goals.

“We are excited to provide our members with tools that will help them work towards their financial futures within the digital banking platform they already know and trust.”

InvestiFi CEO Kian Sarreshteh said, “We are proud to partner with a credit union that has spent decades supporting utility and energy workers nationwide and helping its members work towards their financial goals.

“In 2026, we’re seeing more credit unions embrace digital investing as a way to keep members within the trusted financial relationships they already value. Rather than sending members to third-party platforms, institutions like UECU are delivering a seamless and secure investing experience directly within digital banking.

“Members expect investing to be as accessible as everyday banking. By bringing professionally managed investing, self-directed trading and cryptocurrency investing into a single digital experience, credit unions are helping members access investing tools without leaving the trusted financial institution they already rely on.”
