PaysafeWallet launches in Poland for digital natives

Paysafe, a global payments platform focused on the experience economy, has launched PaysafeWallet in Poland, giving consumers a digital wallet with a personal debit card they can carry on their phone.

The wallet allows customers to top up with cash, send money to friends, pay in shops and restaurants, spend online, make bank transfers and withdraw cash when required. Each user receives a personal payment account complete with an IBAN and a virtual debit card usable both in person and online.

The Polish launch builds on the existing popularity of PaysafeCard in the country, with PaysafeWallet designed to extend that trusted service into a fuller, more rounded money management experience for a younger, digitally minded audience.

Paysafe is a global payments platform powering the experience economy, with a strong focus on the iGaming, video gaming, e-commerce, online trading, retail, travel and hospitality sectors. With 30 years of expertise in payment technology, Paysafe helps businesses and consumers lift every experience through seamless, secure payment solutions, including card payments, digital wallets such as Skrill, eCash solutions like PaysafeCard, and a suite of local payment methods.

PaysafeWallet has attracted roughly 600,000 users across Europe within 18 months of its rollout, a figure the company points to as evidence of demand for payment tools that fit modern, everyday spending habits. Existing PaysafeCard account holders in Poland can access the new wallet directly via the Wallet tab, while new customers can sign up in minutes after downloading the PaysafeCard app on Android or iOS.

Paysafe Chief Product Officer Bob Legters said, “Young consumers in Poland are digital natives and expect their money to move as fast as they do.

“PaysafeWallet gives them something that feels made for them: their own debit card on their phone, the freedom to pay, send and spend however they want, and the reassurance that cash is still an option when they need it. We’re really excited about what we’re building for this generation.”
