Akur8 unveils Deploy accelerator on Guidewire Marketplace

Akur8, the global actuarial AI platform, has launched a new integration accelerator on Guidewire Marketplace, connecting Guidewire PolicyCenter with Deploy, its modern external rating engine, to shorten implementation timelines for insurers.

The new Akur8 Deploy Rating Accelerator provides a metadata-driven mapping and transformation layer between PolicyCenter and Deploy’s rating application programming interface, cutting the custom integration work typically needed to link the two systems. Insurers adopting the tool can compress what has traditionally been a months-long integration phase into a matter of weeks, while gaining real-time rating capability inside PolicyCenter’s existing quote workflows.

For actuarial and pricing departments, the accelerator hands back greater oversight of the rating process. Once the tool is operational, actuaries can amend rating logic, issue new rates and roll out updated products directly through Akur8 Deploy, bypassing the need for IT requests or a full PolicyCenter redeployment. This lessens insurers’ dependence on policy administration system release schedules and allows pricing changes to reach the market more quickly.

Among the accelerator’s core features are pre-built mappings that speed up implementation, and real-time rating support within PolicyCenter’s quoting process that returns detailed rating factors and premium breakdowns without altering the standard Guidewire interface.

The tool also caters to both live, quote-time rating requests from PolicyCenter and offline batch re-rating scenarios. Standardised transformation logic, validation scripts and delivery guidance aligned with Guidewire’s framework are designed to lower integration risk, while actuarial teams gain expanded control over testing and deploying rating updates from model through to policy.

The Deploy accelerator is available immediately to both new and existing Akur8 clients and comes with support from the company’s dedicated delivery team. Additional details can be found on Akur8’s website or by reaching out to an Akur8 account representative.

Akur8 operates a global actuarial AI platform that offers a range of actuarial tools for insurers of all sizes across the Property and Casualty and Life and Annuity markets, combining advanced technology with actuarial expertise to provide speed, performance, transparency and reliability.

The company counts 350 customers in more than 40 countries among its client base, including large P&C insurers such as AXA, Generali, Munich Re, Europ Assistance, Tokio Marine and MS&AD, alongside commercial insurers including TMNAS, FCCI, NEXT, HDVI and Canal, personal and commercial insurers such as Cypress, Madison Mutual, Western Reserve Group and Georgia Farm Bureau, and specialty insurer Canopius.

Samuel Falmagne, CEO, Akur8 said, “The Guidewire ecosystem is a critical pathway to market for P&C carriers, and this extension reflects our long-term commitment to meeting insurers where they already operate. Deploy was built to give actuarial teams greater autonomy over the rating process.

“By prebuilding the integration between Guidewire PolicyCenter and Deploy, we are making that autonomy accessible to a much broader set of carriers. This is about more than technical efficiency; it is about what pricing teams can achieve on their own, without depending on IT.”

Wade Mansoori, Head of Solution Delivery, Akur8 said, “External rating engine integrations have historically required months of custom middleware development, with actuarial, IT, and system integrator teams coordinating just to connect the rating engine with PolicyCenter.

“With this extension, that work is packaged into a repeatable, standards-aligned delivery framework. Carriers benefit from a tested mapping specification, validated QA scripts, and a sprint structure that aligns with Guidewire implementation standards. The result is a dramatically shorter path from contract to live rating.”
