Napier AI, Delta Capita team up on KYC and AML

Napier AI, the London-based financial crime compliance technology company, has partnered with Delta Capita, a global provider of managed services, technology and consulting, to help financial institutions build more connected and efficient Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) operations in the fight against financial crime.

The tie-up is designed to tackle a common problem for financial institutions, whose onboarding, KYC and AML functions typically run on fragmented systems, teams and processes. This fragmentation tends to slow down onboarding, push up investigation volumes, and add cost and complexity to compliance operations.

To address this, the partnership brings together Delta Capita’s client lifecycle management platform, Karbon, along with its practitioner-led advisory and managed services, and Napier AI’s Continuum suite, which spans client screening, transaction monitoring and transaction screening.

Combined, the two companies intend to offer financial institutions coordinated support across the entire compliance lifecycle, from initial client onboarding through to continuous monitoring and investigation.

The goal is to cut down on duplicated work, ease the burden of high investigation volumes, and remove the inconsistencies in customer experience that currently drive up cost and complexity.

The partners say the closer connection between KYC and AML processes should lead to faster onboarding for clients, fewer false positives during investigations, lighter workloads for compliance teams, and stronger auditability and regulatory confidence.

The companies note that most existing offerings provide either technology or outsourced compliance operations on their own, whereas this partnership merges both. It brings together onboarding and KYC technology, AML compliance solutions, and specialist advisory and managed services in one package, giving institutions the flexibility to access expertise, infrastructure and operational support through a single, coordinated system tailored to their needs.

Napier AI is a RegTech company that supplies anti-money laundering and financial crime compliance software to financial institutions, payments firms, and wealth and asset management companies.

Napier AI CEO Greg Watson said, “Financial institutions are under pressure to manage increasingly complex fincrime risks while simultaneously deliver faster, more accurate and seamless experiences for customers.

“Our partnership with Delta Capita brings together complementary technology and expertise to give institutions a more connected approach across the compliance lifecycle. By reducing manual handovers, this enables institutions to focus their resources on genuine risk, meaning they can achieve stronger customer, operational and regulatory outcomes.”

Delta Capita CLM chief commercial officer and global head of CLM advisory Sean Vickers said, “Institutions crucially must understand who their customers are and maintain this understanding as relationships and risks evolve. Through our partnership with Napier AI, combining Continuum with our Karbon platform, we’re able to create a compelling offering for institutions to transform both their systems and operating models, simplifying complex processes, improving processes and building compliance operations that are more efficient, accountable and scalable.”
