Snoop launches Future You savings visualisation tool

Snoop, a UK-based financial management app, has launched a new feature called Future You, designed to help customers visualise how their existing saving habits could grow over time and understand the impact of making small changes today.

The launch comes at a time when around 14 million people in the UK have less than £100 in savings set aside for emergencies, underlining the need for tools that encourage stronger saving behaviour.

Future You allows customers to adjust their saving amounts and instantly view the potential effect on their future balance, while also giving them the option to update their Auto Saver rules within the same process. For instance, a customer raising their weekly contribution from £10 to £15 can immediately compare their new projected balance against what they would have accumulated under their previous settings.

The tool aims to tackle a common obstacle to saving: the difficulty of picturing how today’s small deposits translate into meaningful sums in the future. Rather than functioning as a standard savings calculator, Future You draws on each customer’s actual Auto Saver rules and round-up activity, generating a projection tailored to their real saving patterns.

Snoop brings together transaction data and financial insights to help customers manage their money, with Future You forming part of the company’s wider effort to help people plan ahead rather than simply reviewing past spending.

The feature combines four core elements: a personalised balance projection built on a customer’s current saving rules; adjustable scenarios that let users change deposit amounts, round-ups and timeframes; a direct comparison showing the extra value that adjusted saving habits could generate; and the ability to put a revised Auto Saver rule into effect immediately.

The tool also sets out the assumptions used in each projection, including the applicable interest rate, and makes clear that the figures shown are illustrative estimates rather than guaranteed outcomes.

Snoop CEO John Natalizia said, “The challenge with saving is not knowing it’s important. It’s making the future feel real enough to act today. A few pounds put aside can seem insignificant, even though it could make a meaningful difference over time.

“This feature helps close that gap by showing customers what their current habits could add up to and how small changes today could improve their future financial position.

“What makes it different is that it turns insight into action. Customers can see different outcomes based on their own behaviour, explore ways to save more and put a new savings rule in place immediately. It’s a simple, practical tool designed to help people build stronger financial habits and achieve better financial outcomes over time.”
