Obie, a leading provider of insurance solutions for landlords and real estate investors, has joined forces with RentSpree, a leading rental software platform that helps real estate professionals and landlords simplify the leasing process, to embed landlord insurance directly into RentSpree’s existing workflow.
Through the collaboration, RentSpree customers can now tap into Obie’s landlord insurance offering without leaving the platform they already use to manage their rentals. Landlords are able to obtain a direct quote and buy cover suited to their investment property in the same place they market vacancies, vet tenants and collect rent, removing the need to seek out insurance separately.
By folding Obie’s offering into that existing toolkit, the two companies say they are turning landlord insurance into a natural extension of the leasing process rather than a separate errand.
The insurance itself is powered by Obie’s proprietary technology, which is designed to give RentSpree users real-time quotes and let them bind a policy within minutes. Obie says the partnership fits its broader strategy of reaching real estate investors through the platforms they already use day to day, rather than requiring them to seek out cover independently.
Founded in 2017, Obie has focused on simplifying investment property insurance for landlords and real estate investors across the United States. The company pairs its own technology with specialist underwriting to produce fast, accurate quotes, and it already works alongside a number of real estate technology providers, lenders, property management platforms and independent agents to widen access to landlord insurance.
