FOO, a UAE-based B2B FinTech solutions provider, and BENEFIT, a Bahrain-based electronic financial transactions provider, have marked 100 Change Requests through their long-running partnership supporting BenefitPay, Bahrain’s national digital wallet.
The partnership has delivered 100 Change Requests (CRs), with each introducing new features or technical improvements designed to enhance the BenefitPay user experience.
The latest upgrade allows BenefitPay users to access their personal QR code directly from the app’s homepage, streamlining transfers and payments. Previous developments delivered through the partnership include a UI/UX redesign, additional backend integrations and strengthened security measures.
BenefitPay is Bahrain’s most widely adopted FinTech platform, with more than 1.3 million active subscribers. The platform records 1.7 million app visits each day and has processed more than 1.9 billion transactions across Fawri, Fawri+ and Fawateer.
FOO implemented the Digital Wallet and Digital Merchant Platform that underpin BenefitPay. More than 20 financial services have been integrated into the wallet, including international money transfers, bill splitting, payments to multiple recipients, electronic cheque transactions and money requests.
The platform also supports payments through QR codes, Tap and Go, online checkout and in-app payment services.
FOO’s AI-powered identity verification solution has been integrated into BenefitPay to allow BENEFIT to authenticate identity documents and automatically perform face matching. The technology is designed to help prevent fraud and support regulatory compliance. BenefitPay also uses tokenisation to secure credit, debit and prepaid card credentials for contactless payments. The process replaces sensitive payment information with digital tokens, adding an additional layer of security to transactions.
FOO is a SaaS-based FinTech solutions provider serving banks, FinTech companies and retailers across the MENA region. Its modular digital microservices platform supports products including remittances, digital wallets, tokenised transactions, automated micro-lending and buy now, pay later services.
BENEFIT deputy chief executive of business development and services Yousif Al Nefaie said, “The pace of development achieved through this partnership reflects the strong alignment, mutual trust and close collaboration between our teams. Together, we have established the capabilities needed to continually advance BenefitPay and deliver secure, innovative digital solutions that respond to evolving customer needs.”
FOO co-founder and chief executive officer Ghady Rayess said, “Reaching the milestone of 100 CRs reflects what can be achieved through deep collaboration, relentless innovation and a strong strategic partnership. Our teams have worked closely together to introduce features that improve the user experience and extend the value that digital financial services can deliver.”
