Broadridge expands tokenized repo to G7 securities

Broadridge Financial Solutions, a global FinTech leader, has widened its Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) platform to bring G7 government securities into its network, giving institutional participants a way to run cross-border repo trades, same-day repo activity and collateral transfers via atomic settlement.

The expanded network allows market participants to carry out international repo and collateral transactions by synchronising the transfer of tokenised securities and cash within a single, coordinated transaction.

This means firms can now source liquidity and finance eligible securities across different markets, currencies and jurisdictions.

DLR is already handling substantial volumes at an institutional level. In August 2026, the platform processed an average of $351bn in daily repo transactions, bringing its total for the month to $7.4trn, with thousands of transactions passing through the network each day.

Until now, DLR has supported tokenised US Treasury collateral for repo, intraday repo transactions and collateral pledges; the addition of G7 securities widens the pool of eligible collateral available to firms looking to mobilise assets for financing activity across global markets.

Broadridge said the growing network gives users faster and more certain settlement, clearer visibility over collateral positions, less operational overhead and greater flexibility in deploying financial resources. As the network continues to grow, participants stand to gain wider access to collateral and liquidity across markets while retaining institutional-level governance and controls.

Separately, aggregated data from DLR, covering repo par value, turnover and trade volumes, is available to subscribers of the Bloomberg Terminal through Broadridge’s partnership with Kaiko, offering further insight into on-chain repo activity alongside conventional fixed-income data.

Broadridge’s tokenisation business covers on-chain proxy voting and governance, digital asset infrastructure spanning post-trade, wallets and custody, and the broader scaling of digital asset capabilities across asset classes.

Broadridge global head of digital innovation Horacio Barakat said, “Tokenized financing and collateral markets are not a future-state concept. Through DLR, they are proven market infrastructure operating at scale today.

“DLR is already helping institutions move collateral more efficiently, executing repos, and managing intraday liquidity. Bringing G7 securities into the network expands that value globally, giving the street a practical path to stronger liquidity, better capital efficiency, and lower operational friction.”
