Stable.com connects Polygon wallets directly to bank transfers

Stable.com, the financial platform operated by global payments group Unlimit, has connected to Polygon Open Money Stack, enabling holders of USDT and PayPal USD (PYUSD) on Polygon to initiate bank transfers directly from their own wallets.

The integration allows users to move stablecoins into the banking system without first transferring their assets to a custodial account, giving self-custodied holders greater control throughout the transaction.

Typically, stablecoin-to-bank services require users to send their tokens to the platform facilitating the payment before the assets can be converted into fiat and transferred to a bank account. Stable.com’s new setup instead allows Polygon users to retain custody of their assets until the transaction is processed.

The move extends Stable.com’s financial infrastructure into self-custodied wallets, connecting onchain assets with traditional payment rails without requiring users to migrate their funds onto the platform.

Once a transfer is initiated, it taps into Unlimit’s global payment network, which the company says reaches more than 180 countries and supports payouts in more than 150 currencies.

This gives stablecoin holders on Polygon access to a global payments network while retaining control of their digital assets until they choose to transact. Stable.com operates as a single global account with local payment details, combining multi-currency balances, card issuance and treasury tools with access to tokenised assets and non-custodial DeFi across multiple blockchain networks.

The Polygon integration adds self-custodied wallets to that model, allowing users to connect their existing assets rather than first moving them into a platform-controlled account.

Polygon Open Money Stack provides the infrastructure underpinning the connection, combining blockchain settlement, fiat on and off-ramps, embedded wallets and cross-chain orchestration within a single technology stack.

Polygon says its network has processed more than eight billion cumulative transactions, highlighting the scale of the blockchain infrastructure available for financial applications.

Polygon Labs chief executive Marc Boiron said, “People should not have to surrender control of their assets simply because they want to send money to a bank account. Stable.com gives USDT and PYUSD holders a direct route from their Polygon wallets to the payment systems people already use. This is the connection between onchain money and everyday financial services that Polygon Open Money Stack was built to support.”

Unlimit founder and chief executive Kirill Eves added, “The future of finance will not be divided between traditional and digital systems. People and businesses will expect money to move freely across currencies, accounts and blockchain networks without having to navigate the infrastructure behind them. Adding Polygon advances our vision for Stable.com: one place to manage money, regardless of the currency, asset or network underneath it.”
