mCards challenges banks with new FinTech platform

mCards Inc, a Houston-based financial technology company, has launched Neobankify, a platform designed to help brands, associations, enterprises and membership organisations create their own financial products and services for the customers and communities they already serve.

The platform enables organisations to build branded financial ecosystems spanning cards, payments, money movement, digital wallets, rewards and loyalty capabilities, giving them the ability to tailor financial experiences around specific audiences rather than relying on generic offerings.

Neobankify is designed to bring together infrastructure that organisations would traditionally have to source from multiple providers across banking, payment processing, card networks, programme management, money movement, security and technology. By consolidating these capabilities into a configurable platform, mCards aims to reduce the complexity involved in building and launching financial products.

The platform combines artificial intelligence, real-time global money movement, card and payment technology, cybersecurity, rewards and loyalty tools and integrations with other financial services. It also supports stablecoin-enabled capabilities where permitted by relevant programmes, partners and regulators.

Neobankify is structured around three stages, Create, Launch and Grow. Organisations can use the platform to design a financial product, bring it to market through mCards technology and approved partner infrastructure, and then expand the relationship through additional services and engagement tools.

mCards is initially targeting sectors including faith communities, military and veteran organisations, gaming, and loyalty and enterprise programmes, with plans to expand into additional industries. Banking, card issuance, lending, payments and other regulated financial services are provided through appropriately licensed financial institutions and regulated partners, while stablecoin and other digital asset capabilities remain subject to applicable programme, partner and regulatory conditions.

mCards Inc CEO David Strebinger said, “The opportunity is much larger than launching another card or banking application. Neobankify brings together the tools and technologies organizations need to create financial ecosystems around audiences they already know and serve. We believe the next generation of financial services will increasingly be built around those existing relationships, with experiences designed specifically for the people inside them.”

The launch comes as embedded finance continues to expand beyond traditional banking channels, with brands and organisations increasingly looking to build financial services into existing customer and community relationships rather than sending users to separate financial providers.
