PlannerPal, the AI workflow platform built for UK financial advisers, has teamed up with Twenty7tec so mortgage advisers can access its technology from within the ADVICE CRM.
Through the integration, mortgage advisers can open PlannerPal without leaving ADVICE and record client meetings, whether face to face or online. The platform converts those conversations into notes, letters and reports using each firm’s own templates. Advisers can then send the documents back into ADVICE and file them against the adviser, the client or a specific enquiry.
Financial advice firms using PlannerPal already account for £150bn in client assets, it claimed. The move takes the company into the mortgage sector, with the aim of increasing adviser capacity, ensuring advice is properly evidenced, keeping standards uniform across advisers, and drawing more insight from client discussions.
Charles Cameron & Associates, an independent mortgage broker based in London that specialises in the employee benefit space and belongs to the Amber River group, is among the first mortgage businesses to roll out PlannerPal, deploying it across 130 advisers.
The firm’s goal was to raise the quality of its advice. It decided against open AI tools, instead holding out for a closed system it could set up on its own terms. Because PlannerPal functions much like a personal notebook and no information is passed to the CRM until the adviser has checked it, control remains with the adviser. The broker relies on the tool to give every client a thorough and consistent advice discussion, with notes and paperwork produced automatically afterwards.
Beyond the ADVICE integration, PlannerPal provides preparation packs ahead of meetings, as well as meeting observation features. These include customisable questions and scoring, giving advisers background before a meeting and feedback that can support training. The two companies intend to expand the integration, collaborating with partner firms to decide on future developments.
Charles Cameron & Associates managing director Graham Masterton said, “After three weeks, over 90% of our advisers were actively using it, not just telling us they like it, but genuinely engaging with it. A key benefit is that it works around how our advisers naturally advise, rather than making them sound scripted. This means we can capture consistent advice documentation across all our advisers, so they are free to focus on providing quality advice to clients.”
PlannerPal CEO and co-founder Mark Whitcroft said, “Mortgage advice depends on the quality of the conversation. Bringing PlannerPal into ADVICE means advisers can use it where they already work, so every client gets a consistent, well-documented conversation and advisers get their time back for clients.”
