Ripple, a blockchain solutions provider spanning traditional and digital finance, has rolled out a set of upgrades to its Ripple Treasury platform that let companies oversee their cash, liquidity and payments at any hour of the day.
The new features were revealed at Swell 2026. They pair Ripple’s existing treasury management tools with AI-driven orchestration and digital payment infrastructure, which the firm describes as a major move towards round-the-clock corporate treasury. Companies including American Airlines, Trax, Christian Louboutin, Subway, Adecco and Kingfisher are among the global businesses the capabilities are designed to support.
The centrepiece of the refreshed platform is an orchestration layer that operates alongside GSmart, the AI functionality built specifically for Ripple Treasury. Together they automate and coordinate tasks such as cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity management and payments.
By linking the decision-making process directly to execution, the platform aims to cut down on manual work for finance teams and let them react more quickly as their financial requirements shift. Ripple says this is needed because AI is speeding up financial decisions and digital rails now allow funds to move outside standard banking hours.
The company also pointed to findings from the 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey, which showed that 46% of organisations grew their US cash balances over the last year. The same research found that 86% of treasury professionals would opt for real-time money market funds if these complied with their investment policies. Ripple believes this points to a growing chance for firms to make their cash work harder while still meeting liquidity needs.
To address this, Ripple has launched 24/7 Returns, a feature that allows eligible corporate clients to earn yield on operating cash that would typically sit unused overnight, at weekends or over holidays. Customers can generate returns on qualifying digital assets kept in a Ripple wallet, including RLUSD, the company’s stablecoin backed by the US dollar, provided they satisfy the programme’s requirements. Crucially, businesses do not need to handle the underlying digital asset transactions themselves.
Ripple Treasury senior vice president Renaat Ver Eecke said, “The way businesses move money is changing, and treasury needs to evolve with it.
“As AI accelerates decision-making and digital rails enable money to move around the clock, businesses need systems that can keep pace. Our vision is to bring treasury management, intelligence, and execution together, giving finance teams the ability to act faster and operate continuously without adding complexity or sacrificing control.”
