Heeler Security clinches $8.5m in seed funding to revolutionize application security

Heeler Security, a pioneering startup in the application security space, today announced the successful closing of an $8.5m Seed Series funding round.

This significant financial injection was led by Norwest Venture Partners, with substantial contributions from Storm Ventures.

Heeler Security is dedicated to redefining the landscape of application security. Their innovative approach focuses on enhancing runtime visibility, which is crucial given the complex challenges modern applications face. These challenges have broadened the attack surfaces, leading to increased security risks and a pressing need for real-time, contextual solutions in securing applications.

The funds from this round will be channeled towards scaling Heeler’s unique ProductDNA technology. This patent-pending innovation unifies the code, behavior, and business context of applications in real-time, aiming to bridge the gap between the intended state in code and the operational state in production. By doing so, Heeler facilitates a seamless interaction between security teams and developers, enhancing both security and operational efficiency.

Heeler Security’s approach is about more than just technological innovation; it’s about fundamentally changing how security integrates into the development lifecycle. The launch of ProductDNA represents a strategic move to embed security seamlessly, thereby ensuring it is not just a gatekeeper but a facilitator of business continuity.

Chris Hertz, CEO of Heeler, remarked, “We are uniquely positioned to seize a massive market opportunity by creating a platform that offers comprehensive SDLC security at the convergence of application and cloud. This round of seed funding will support our execution of that vision.”
