Cybersecurity innovator Clutch Security nets $8.5m in funding led by Lightspeed

Clutch Security, a Tel Aviv-based cybersecurity firm, has successfully secured $8.5m in seed funding.

According to FinSMEs, this investment round was spearheaded by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with significant contributions from Merlin Ventures, Cyber Club London (CCL), and a cohort of industry luminaries and angel investors.

Notable participants include Nir Polak, Shlomo Kramer, and Armon Dadgar, whose backgrounds span multiple cybersecurity ventures.

Clutch Security is dedicated to revolutionizing the management and security of Non-Human Identities (NHIs). The platform’s hallmark is its Universal NHI Security Platform, which offers unprecedented visibility into any type of NHI across an organization’s network.

This enables security teams to gain a full understanding of NHIs, their contexts, and associated risks through a unique feature called Identity Lineage™ visualization.

The newly acquired funds are earmarked for team expansion and broader market penetration. Clutch Security aims to enhance its offerings and scale operations to meet increasing demand in the cybersecurity space.

Additional features of the Clutch Security platform include risk identification and prioritization, which are determined by the severity and impact on business operations. The platform also boasts tailored remediation playbooks that provide actionable steps for addressing security vulnerabilities.

Moreover, in instances of suspicious or abnormal NHI-related activities, the platform facilitates swift incident responses and integrates seamlessly with existing security workflows, bolstering enterprise defenses against potential breaches. The inclusion of Zero Trust protections also allows businesses to proactively counteract risks.

Clutch Security CEO Ofir Har-Chen highlighted the significance of this funding, stating, “This capital injection will enable us to push the boundaries of NHI security innovation and solidify our leadership in the market.”

Previously, the company has attracted attention and funding from various corners of the cybersecurity and venture capital communities, underscoring its potential and the trust investors place in its vision.
