FinTech Wales, a trade association supporting the growth of the financial technology sector in Wales, has announced the creation of two new positions in its Cardiff office.
The firm is set to welcome Rhys Griffiths as relationship manager and Paula Domingo Pellon as operations assistant. These additions reflect FinTech Wales’ commitment to enhancing engagement with members and driving sector growth across the region.
Founded with a focus on building a robust FinTech ecosystem in Wales, FinTech Wales provides resources, advocacy, and support for FinTech companies and aims to make Wales a competitive and attractive location for FinTech innovation and investment.
Based in Cardiff, the organisation works closely with Welsh and UK government bodies, academia, and industry stakeholders to ensure the sector’s advancement.
Griffiths, who steps into the role of relationship manager, brings extensive experience in relationship-building from his previous roles in the Higher Education sector. Having held similar positions at The Open University, The University of South Wales, and Agored Cymru, he has a strong background in skills development and partnerships.
His new role will focus on supporting members and helping strengthen the talent pipeline within the Welsh FinTech sector.
Joining him, Domingo Pellon has been appointed as operations assistant. With a solid administrative background, she will be instrumental in managing office operations and coordinating events, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and successful event execution.
The addition of Griffiths and Domingo Pellon is expected to provide FinTech Wales with increased capacity to engage its members and help Welsh FinTech companies build a strong talent base.
Their roles are part of the organisation’s broader mission to develop critical skills within the sector, thereby supporting and sustaining its growth in Wales.
