Vertice, a leading spend optimisation platform, has secured $50m in a Series C funding round led by Lakestar.
Additional contributions came from Perpetual Growth and CF Private Equity. Existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners and 83North also participated in the round, bringing the company’s total funding to over $100m.
The oversubscribed funding round marks a significant milestone in Vertice’s growth trajectory. Over the past 2.5 years, the company has significantly scaled its revenue and customer base while maintaining strong capital efficiency. Vertice has achieved a 13x revenue increase in the last two years.
The newly secured funding will be utilised to support its expansion plans, including opening new regional offices and tripling the size of its engineering team in 2025. These efforts aim to advance product development with new automated capabilities and integrations designed to help enterprise procurement and finance teams enhance visibility, streamline operations, and reduce costs.
Procurement teams often face challenges such as opaque approval processes, rising costs, and compliance complexities. The current market response includes fragmented solutions that fail to provide a holistic approach. Vertice has emerged as a leader in the procuretech sector by offering an integrated platform that consolidates procurement workflows, contract negotiation, benchmarking data, and SaaS spend optimisation in one solution.
The company’s AI-powered workflows provide actionable insights into spend optimisation, usage, and risk management, backed by Vertice’s extensive experience in negotiating over $3.4bn of SaaS and cloud expenditure across a vast customer base. With a dataset covering more than 16,000 software vendors, Vertice has helped its customers halve purchasing cycles, curb unauthorised spending, and achieve cost reductions of up to 30%.
Vertice CEO and co-founder Roy Tuvey said, “We created our own unfair advantage. After spending two years perfecting our SaaS and cloud spend optimization, achieving product-market fit and taking market share from established players, we’ve brought all of our data and insights directly into the workflow experience. All employees can now initiate any purchase, quickly, transparently and at the best price, while procurement can fully customize the workflows to their needs and embed granular approvals.”
Lakestar partner Georgia Watson praised Vertice’s performance, stating, “Vertice has consistently demonstrated its ability to execute, innovate, and drive key growth metrics year after year, all at scale. We firmly believe there is no organization better positioned to become the unified platform of choice for the modern procurement team.”
