KAYAK and Affirm have extended their exclusive partnership into Canada, enabling travellers to book trips with more flexible payment options just ahead of the peak summer travel season.
This marks the international expansion of a successful U.S. collaboration that began in January 2023 and brings a new level of convenience to Canadian consumers.
Travellers using ca.KAYAK.com can now opt to split the cost of flights, hotels, and car rentals into manageable monthly instalments using Affirm. Once approved through a real-time eligibility check, customers can select a payment plan tailored to their needs. Importantly, the service comes with no hidden or late fees, aligning with Affirm’s mission of transparency and customer empowerment.
Affirm chief revenue officer Wayne Pommen said, “Consumers are increasingly turning to Affirm when booking their flights, hotels, rides, and more as flexible payment options remain a top priority for travellers across Canada. This expansion with KAYAK is a natural next step for our long-standing partnership as we look to offer even more travellers peace of mind when paying for their next trip using Affirm.”
KAYAK North America general manager and senior vice president Paul Jacobs added, “Our partnership with Affirm opens up possibilities for travellers who are looking for more flexibility in their payment options. With international flight prices averaging $1,270, travellers can plan and pay for those bucket list trips over time, without any hidden fees.”
The Canadian launch strengthens Affirm’s global footprint. The company is already supported by over 350,000 merchants, including other Booking Holdings brands such as Agoda, Booking.com, and Priceline. Affirm is also available through leading Canadian retailers including Amazon, Apple, Samsung, Brown’s Shoes, and CheapOair.
