dLocal, a cross-border payments platform focused on emerging markets, has partnered with Amway, a direct selling company, to deliver locally optimised online payment capabilities for its operations across Latin America.
Through its collaboration with dLocal, Amway now operates with local acquiring and domestic payment rails in Colombia. This allows the company to accept payments in local currency using local card processing, alongside PSE bank transfers and Efecty cash vouchers. The approach is designed to improve authorisation rates, speed up settlement times and deliver clearer reporting, while also providing a more consistent and reliable payment experience for local customers.
By working with dLocal as a single provider, Amway is able to manage local processing, pricing optimisation and on-the-ground support through one platform.
The partnership has also been structured with future growth in mind. Discussions are already underway to extend local payment acceptance to additional Latin American markets, allowing Amway to expand its regional footprint in line with its strategic priorities.
Amway customer service manager Carolina Vásquez said, “As a global direct selling company, payments need to work reliably at the local level.
“Overall, the experience for both our operations and our end users has been positive. dLocal’s gateway has demonstrated stability, usability, and consistent performance, enabling fast and secure transactions. Our users perceive a clear and simple experience, while internally we value the reliability of the service and its contribution to an efficient operational flow.”
dLocal head of EMEA Agustin Botta said, “Consumer payments in Latin America demand local rails and coverage to maximize acceptance and reliability. Expansion in this region usually isn’t limited by demand, but by how payments are run locally. This partnership with Amway is about crafting a solid regional strategy that can be replicated as they grow.”
