Lemonade, a technology-driven insurance provider, has launched its renters insurance offering in Nebraska, opening up quick and straightforward cover to tenants throughout the state.
The rollout means renters in Nebraska can now access Lemonade Renters, a product delivered entirely through an app. Users are able to obtain quotes, buy and amend policies, and submit claims from a single platform. More than half of all claims are resolved instantly, meaning customers can be supported far sooner following a covered loss.
Pricing begins at $5 a month, positioning the product among the cheaper renters insurance choices on the market. According to figures drawn from both the company and the wider industry, Lemonade’s renters premiums come in roughly 30% below the national average. Policyholders may unlock further discounts by bundling policies, installing qualifying home safety devices, or opting to pay annually.
Lemonade has built a customer base of over three million active users and has picked up accolades from the likes of Forbes, CNBC, and U.S. News & World Report for both its products and the experience it delivers.
The company describes its mission as becoming the world’s most loved insurer. Operating across Renters, Home, Pet, Car, and Life lines, the AI-powered, technology-first carrier employs a workforce of more than 1,200 people and serves customers in the US, UK and Europe, with close to half of claims settled within seconds.
Lemonade Head of Renters Insurance Dan Timsit said, “Renters in Nebraska deserve the same easy insurance experience as everyone else. We built Lemonade to cut through the complexity that makes traditional insurance painful. We offer simple quotes, instant claims, and rates that don’t break the bank. Now we can deliver that to Nebraska, too.”
