Marloo, the artificial intelligence platform built exclusively for financial advisers, has introduced Ask Marloo, a new capability now available to all of the firm’s adviser clients.
The tool allows advisers to review their whole client book simultaneously rather than examining one file at a time, and it also supports advisers who take over a colleague’s clients following that adviser’s departure or retirement.
Ask Marloo sits on a newly redesigned home screen that flags matters needing urgent attention and shows progress on ongoing tasks. The feature allows advisers to carry out a thorough review across their entire client base, uncovering insights that can be used to grow the value of their book.
Among Ask Marloo’s functions are highlighting clients who could be affected by market shifts, such as interest rate movements, and showing how significantly this might affect their finances. It also flags clients who have referenced an upcoming change to their financial situation but have not yet requested further guidance, and it sets out the main objectives and needs across a book of new or inherited clients when a colleague leaves the business.
In addition, the tool identifies clients with adult children or dependants that advisers have not yet approached but who could benefit from advice, and it points out clients whose cover is approaching renewal.
Marloo notes that although such information already exists within an adviser’s CRM system, it is often scattered across several different tools and can be difficult to pull together. Ask Marloo resolves this by pulling from meeting notes, documents and emails to extract the essential data advisers and paraplanners need to provide prompt, efficient advice.
Marloo Co-Founder Hardy Michel said, “Financial advice runs on memory: what was said three years ago, why each decision was made, and what has changed since. That is not a nice touch on top of the advice, it is the foundation of a client relationship. However, one person can only remember so much.
“Essential background information on a client is scattered, and it is time-consuming for advisers to piece it together across multiple tabs. Ask Marloo changes that by recalling what is important to a client, demonstrating the potential growth opportunities within a client book and ensuring advisers continue to add value through the service they provide.”
