CLARA Analytics launches agentic AI claims workforce

CLARA Analytics, a provider of AI technology for optimising insurance claims, has introduced Agentic Intelligence, which it describes as the sector’s first complete AI workforce designed for complex casualty and workers’ comp claims.

The new offering sits within the firm’s CLARAty.ai platform. It assigns a group of AI agents to each claim throughout its lifecycle, from the first notice of loss to its final resolution, while adjusters keep authority over every decision.

The launch marks a shift for CLARA. Its technology previously highlighted insights, and it now also proposes next steps and helps put them into practice. The agents operate inside the claim file itself, where workers’ comp and casualty losses are ultimately determined. They draw on a decade of proprietary historical outcome data that the company says rivals are unable to copy or license.

With the new capability, adjusters can see straight away where a score originated and how up to date its supporting data is, so they no longer need to track down source documents before relying on a figure. The agents also give claims and actuarial professionals additional context and reasoning.

Features include full data lineage with glossary definitions, metric ownership and versioning, and live visibility into data quality and source validation. Users can also drill down into particular coverage groups, exclusions and claim cohorts, and see clear explanations linking scoring logic to specific claim documents and fields. A conversational agent lets users explore both structured and unstructured data to better understand risk and suggested actions.

The system runs on self-learning data pipelines and a data set of more than 7 million claims gathered over 10 years. It fills gaps in data in real time, using dynamic querying in place of fixed rules to produce precise, customised intelligence.

Because no manual coding is needed, deployment is much faster, and claims teams can analyse and stress-test data immediately. According to CLARA, this reduces friction, builds adjusters’ skills and strengthens their judgement, freeing them to concentrate on complex, high-value decisions. Adjusters retain the final call, while CLARA maintains the supporting evidence trail.

CLARA Analytics offers AI as a service to improve casualty claims outcomes for insurance carriers, MGAs, reinsurers and self-insured organisations. Its platform uses image recognition, natural language processing and other AI methods to extract insights from medical notes, legal demand packages, bills and other claim documents. These predictive insights help claims professionals cut costs and improve results for carriers, customers and claimants.

CLARA Analytics CEO Heather H. Wilson said, “We have gone from a system of intelligence to a system of action by becoming a full claims agentic platform. Working in concert, the agents synthesize all relevant information, provide transparent reasoning and adaptive intelligence, surface opportunities and build the needed bridge from intelligence to action.”

CLARA Analytics chief product officer Mubbin Rabbani said, “We aren’t just delivering faster technology; we are delivering measurable, quantitative financial and business outcomes. Insurers get turn-key access to an advanced AI workforce backed by robust guardrails and human validation.”
