Singapore-based auto marketplace Carro has picked up $12m in funding to pump into its FinTech division. The round’s lead investor is undisclosed.

Financial services big data and analytics company Quantexa has landed a $3.3m investment from Albion Ventures and HSBC. The London-based startup uses its data software to tackle financial crime .

Savings app startup Squirrel has secured £585,000 in a crowdfunding campaign on SyndicateRoom, surpassing its £400,000 target. The capital comes from a group of 70 investors.

Point-of-sale mortgage company cloudvirga has raised $15m in a Series B round. The funding for the Irvine, California-based startup comes from Blackstone Group portfolio company Incenter.

Predictive analytics firm Big Squid has landed $3m in a seed funding round led by Silverton Partners and Kickstart Seed Fund.

Private equity firm Warburg Pincus is acquiring a 35% stake in Swiss financial software firm Avaloq. The deal will see Warburg Pincus pump a reported $300m into the Zurich-based company.

Freelancer management platform Lystable has raised a further $10m in funding to focus on payments. The funding is an extension of the $11m round it raised in June 2016.

Financial wellbeing app Clarity Money has landed $11m in a Series B round co-led by RRE Ventures and Citi Ventures. Bessemer Venture Partners and Maveron also participated in the funding.

Kuala Lumpur-based FinTech provider Jirnexu has closed its Series A round with $4.5m in the bank. The round is finishing up with a $1.5m investment following on from the $3m Jirnexu raised in May 2016.
