Alex Grinman – One Footprint

Alex Grinman is the Co-Founder and CTO of Footprint, the AI operating system for risk. Footprint gives compliance teams the agentic infrastructure to investigate every case and run their risk programs end-to-end – from onboarding to transaction monitoring, KYC/KYB, AML watchlist screening, and beyond. Its agent runs your team’s SOPs deterministically, grounds its findings in trusted data sources, and leaves a full audit trail. Before Footprint, Alex co-founded KryptCo (acquired by Akamai), where he built Krypton Authenticator – now Akamai MFA – to make strong authentication simple and beautiful. He worked across the stack: crypto protocol design, product, UX, and iOS. Alex spent 5.5 years at MIT, writing his Masters in Engineering thesis on NLP on encrypted patient data with Shafi Goldwasser. He’s been building iOS apps for over a decade, starting with iOS 3 in high school – including Greenline, a real-time transit app he built with his dad for Boston commuters.
