John P. McGuinness – Thirdpath

John McGuinness is a founder of Thirdpath, a provider of bespoke private markets solutions. He is a Managing Partner and member of Thirdpath’s Management Committee. Mr. McGuinness also serves as Thirdpath’s Co-Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer, and is responsible for legal and regulatory matters across Thirdpath. Mr. McGuinnness has over 20 years’ experience in the alternative investments space, including senior roles at StepStone Group, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. He was StepStone’s Global Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel, and a Vice President of Compliance at GSAM. Mr. McGuinnness earned his B.A. from Fordham University and J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a Richardson Scholar and an Articles Editor for The Brooklyn Law Review.
