Smart building firm Johnson Controls has acquired zero-trust cybersecurity company Tempered Networks for an undisclosed fee.

RevealSecurity, an application detection and response solution, has reportedly closed its Series A funding round on $23m.

Cosmian, a company that specialises in encryption, has scored $4.4m from a funding round led by La Banque Postale.

 Bunkyr, a zero-knowledge security API developer, has collected $1m in pre-seed funding to support the development and delivery of its products.

Its software understands human communication behavior and relationships to uncover even the most sophisticated attacks.

RapidFort, a software attack service optimisation platform, has reportedly collected $8.5m in its seed funding round.

Data breaches are becoming increasingly costly. In 2021, the cost of a data breach reached $4.24m, up from $3.86m, according to data by IBM.

The level of uncertainty financial institutions have for third-party cyber risk is worrying. Firms have no idea how a company accesses their network and the back doors left open for criminals. CyberGRX was created to fix this.  

Tech giant Microsoft is set to acquire cyber threat analysis and research company Miburo for an undisclosed fee.

Quickpass Cybersecurity, a privileged access management (PAM) platform, has collected an additional $3m to bring its Series A round to $7m.
