South Korean mobile payments firm Viva Republica has landed $23.7m for its Series B funding round.
The investment was led by Goldwater Capital and US chip maker’s Qualcomm’s venture arm
Existing backers Altos Ventures and KTB Network also participated.
The company is the developer behind peer-to-peer mobile transfer app Toss.
The app counts more than 4m users and claims to have processed more than $1b in transactions since launching in February last year.
Other financial services offered by Viva Republica include microloans through Toss Loans, as well as Toss Financial Dashboard.
The company says it will use the funding to continue expanding its product offering and growing its market share.
The round takes Viva Republica’s funding to just shy of $30m in total.
