Fitch Group, a financial information provider, has acquired finance and distressed debt analysis platform Fulcrum Financial Data from Leeds Equity Partners.
As part of the acquisition, Fulcrum will become a part of Fitch’s Solutions division, which serves as the provider of credit and macro intelligence for its Fitch Ratings content. Fulcrum’s current CEO Steve Miller will continue to lead the business and will report to Fitch president Ranjit Tinaikar.
New York-based Fulcrum Financial Data is a finance and distressed debt analysis, news and data platform to help credit professionals understand current markets.
The company’s services include LevFin Insights, a real-time news, commentary and data of the leveraged loan and high-yield bond market. Its CapitalStructure product is a corporate bond indentures and leveraged loan credit agreements insight platform, while its Capital Structure solution supplies news and analysis of the sub-investment grade universe, with a focus on special situations.
Its final offering is PacerMonitor which delivers a researching and tracking platform for federal bankruptcy, district and appellate court cases.
Fitch Group is a financial information platform that helps clients with decision-making in the financial market. It offers a selection of platforms to cover news and data of credit markets, and credit ratings and research.
Tinaikar said, “Fulcrum Financial Data has distinguished itself by offering deep reporting, insight and legal analysis that go beyond what others offer, helping asset managers, banks, private equity firms and other market participants make better decisions.”
Earlier in the week, Moody’s Corporation made a strategic minority investment into AI-predictive analytics platform QuantCube Technology. The France-based company gives corporate clients and financial institutions with tools for macroeconomic analysis, investment analysis, and real-time analytics, and data visualisation.
