Software-focused buyout major Vista Equity Partners has bought institutional investment data analytics player 7Park Data.
The New York-headquartered company uses machine learning and predictive models to transform unstructured information into performance indicators for public and private companies.
7Park says the 150 firms it works with worldwide include sophisticated investment houses and Fortune 500 companies, who depend on its software for benchmarking, forecasting and product development.
Vista founder, chairman and CEO Robert Smith said, “Data is the currency driving the digital economy, and companies across industries are increasingly leveraging data to inform their own operations and create value for their customers.
“7Park’s mission critical solutions powered by cutting edge AI and ML technology transform raw data, empowering companies to make better decisions, deliver insights to their customers, generate new revenue streams and compete effectively in evolving global markets.”
Last month Vista agreed to buy business management software company Apptio in a $1.94bn deal, which allows clients to manage, plan and optimize their technology investments.
