Accolade has expanded its partnership with Humana which includes a $20m strategic investment.
This investment from Humana is a move to increase member engagement within its offerings for commercial employer groups, by leveraging Accolade to enhance its help platform.
The two companies initially revealed their partnership in March 2019, where they agreed to integrate their capabilities to create a differentiated healthcare and benefits experience for individuals and their employers.
By expanding the agreement, they hope to better meet their goal to create a personalized and simplified member experience as well as leverage opportunities in delivery, partner integration, and economic value.
The companies are looking to expand geographies in 2020 and beyond.
Their combined services bring employers and their health plan members access to Humana’s provider networks and medical, dental, pharmacy, employee assistance program, and work-life services. Additionally, they can access Accolade’s member engagement services and integrated health and benefits partner programs.
