Open banking API developer Neonomics is set to launch a PSD2-based payment solution in Finland in partnership with Kivra, a digital mailbox.

The new solution will empower Finnish customers to pay their invoices through the Kivra digital mailbox.

Sweden-based Kivra has 3.5 million users on its mailbox platform which helps individuals send, upload and store email, including invoices.

Neonomics is an API developer which connects thousands of banks through a single API. Its technology helps facilitate inter-bank communication to ease account-to-account payments and instant transactions.

The company also supports account aggregation which enables real-time and full-range access to account data.

There are a number of new features under development from Neonomics including marketplace for FinTechs, card issuing, know your customer and currency exchange.

Kivra CEO Miika Salo said, “We have been working closely with Neonomics since last summer, integrating, testing, and improving the usability and stability of PSD2 payment services. Neonomics stood out as the leading platform, offering a simple and effective solution that’s connected to all of the major Finnish banks. Being a pioneer is never easy and Neonomics has proven to be a reliable and responsive service provider.”
