KnowBe4 and Agari to improve anti-phishing tools in new partnership

Security awareness training platform KnowBe4 will improve phishing training for clients through new partnership with Agari.

The partnership will give security teams access to phishing training content which are backed by strong anti-phishing defence systems.

By working together, the companies can upgrade the anti-phishing tools to bolster detection and decision-making on suspected phishing attempts.

KnowBe4 director of corporate development Rob Henley said, “Our partnership will drive better, more realistic phishing simulations as well as stronger training exercises. By integrating our offerings, customers of both Agari and KnowBe4 will have access to data that more accurately paints the picture of the phishing landscape to help them better combat social engineering threats.”

KnowBe4 helps businesses better prepare themselves for phishing and pretexting attacks by educating employees to recognise, report and avoid threats. It achieves this through security awareness training and simulated phishing tests.

The RegTech reached an $800m valuation last year following the close of an investment from KKR and Ten Eleven Ventures.

The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center’s 2019 Internet Crime Report states that phishing was the most reported crime in the US during 2019. These attacks made a combined total loss of over $3.5bn.

Agari chief strategy officer Doug Jones said, “As a result of this partnership, KnowBe4’s simulation and training platform can better utilize responses to real-world phishing attacks from Agari. And phishing defence solutions by Agari are enhanced with employee-reported behaviour toward suspected phishing email. Together, shared customers benefit by experiencing a reduction in business disruptions and human error caused by phishing attacks.”
