Pay-as-you-go contents insurance provider Urban Jungle has reportedly teamed up with digital renting platform Canopy.
The deal sees Urban Jungle offer tenant insurance policies to customers of the Canopy app, with consumers given a £20 voucher for the insurance, according to a report from The Negotiator.
Tenants will be able to get access to contents insurance to protect their products at home from burglaries, fires and more.
UK-based Urban Jungle is a digital insurance platform which offers policies for tenant liability, home contents, shared home contents and gadgets. The platform offers pay-as-you-go insurance for various policies and provides transparent pricing.
The startup recently closed a £2.5m funding round which was backed by several angel investors, including former Prudential UK CEO Rob Devey, and Octopus Group CEO Simon Rogerson.
Jimmy Williams, co-founder and CEO of Urban Jungle, told The Negotiator, “This partnership is a great fit for us as we are both helping tenants to manage their financial lives. Canopy is doing a great job with its RentPassport and deposit alternatives, while we focus on helping people protect their belongings.”
