The coronavirus has increased the need for cybersecurity solutions for people working from home and 802 Secure has just unveiled such a tool to meet this demand.?
The new solution is designed to help protect the remote office worker from the challenges of the evolving cyber threats of wireless security blind spots that are not detected by current technologies already in place.
The news comes as the internet of things has created both increased connectivity and bigger risks for remote workers.? enablement brings about new risks and threats as these devices have created a new attack surface which hackers see as low hanging fruit to exploit. Add to that the fact that COVID-19 has marked a massive jump in people having to work from home and it’s easy to see how the cybersecurity threat has increased.
802 Secure argues that its new solutions empowers enterprises to stay ahead of this new threat vector, including 5G connectivity, by providing real-time visibility into the home network, corporate assets and other connected devices that are vulnerable to attack, detecting advanced threats such as rogue cellular towers – helping to eliminate the security blind spot and reducing business risks.
“As organisations strive to reduce the business risk from remote workers, 802 Secure continues to focus on detecting and assessing unmanaged, unsecured and misconfigured IT and IoT devices within the home environment to reduce exposure states,” said Garry Drummond, CEO of 802 Secure.
