Clim8 Invest said to secure €2.7m through a crowdfunding campaign

Clim8 Invest, which enables consumers to back companies having a positive impact on climate change, has reportedly netted €2.7m in its latest funding round.

The capital was raised through a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube and received support from around 1,900 retail investors, according to a report from Zephyrnet.

There were also a number of institutional investors in the round, including 7percent Ventures, Basil Capital, Evergreen Fund, EcoSummit Ventures and a handful of ex partners of McKinsey.

Clim8 managed to smash its initial fundraise target by 600%

Founded in 2019, the FinTech is a mobile investment app focused on helping investors build a portfolio of companies helping against climate change. The platform invests in clean energy, clean technology, sustainable food, electronic mobility and recycling.

Its app, which is launching soon, enables retail investors to build a portfolio of companies that are having a positive impact on the fight against climate change.

The FinTech platform previously raised £1.3m in a crowdfunding campaign earlier in the year. It beat its initial target by 300% and received support from around 1,200 backers.

Last week, Spark Change, which helps institutional and individual investors access carbon instruments, reportedly bagged £3.5m in its latest funding round.
