SAM Seamless Network, a cybersecurity platform aimed at SMBs, has bagged $20m in its Series B funding round.
Funds from the round will be used to support the expansion of its security reach from two million networks and 70 million devices to 10 million networks and 500 million devices.
Furthermore, SAM plans to drive innovation to bring enterprise-grade intelligence-based security to 5G-connected devices. Its core technology, which is based on device fingerprinting and IoT threat intelligence, will leverage mobile edge computing architecture of 5G networks to operate closer to the end device. This will improve visibility and reduce latency to ensure SAM can made quick security decisions for smart devices.
SAM was founded by former cyber specialists in elite units of the Israeli Defense Forces Sivan Rauscher, Eilon Lotem, and Shmuel Chafets.
The company protects networks and smart devices for SMBs and consumers through a security solution that is integrated into the network gateway. Its technology detects anomalies in device behaviour across the network to identify threats and uses aggregated data to ensure safe pathways for legitimate traffic.
SAM CEO Sivan Rauscher said, “Since we’re the fastest growing and most widely deployed solution in our space, we’ve been able to improve our behavioural and machine learning techniques to not only detect, but prevent attacks targeting smart devices.
“Combining our technology with 5G transformation will enable us to more effectively predict unknown attacks.”
