CertiK raises $24m in Tiger Global-backed Series B+ round

US blockchain security firm CertiK has raked in $24m from a Series B+ funding round led by Tiger Global and GL Ventures.

The second Series B raise builds on CertiK’s earlier raise back in July, when the company snared $37m. During the first part of the round, the company brought on board Shunwei Capital, Coinbase Ventures and Coatue Management as investors.

Founded in 2018, CertiK markets AI technology that is able to audit and monitor blockchain protocols and smart contracts.

Through the company’s platform – Skynet Premium – clients are able to leverage the technology to build applications with security and correctness as the chief focus. The solution utilises on-chain and off-chain data to provide real-time insights into the security of DeFi applications.

CertiK claims it has collectively served over 1300 enterprise clients and has protected over $90bn worth of digital assets and detected over 23,000 vulnerabilities in blockchain code.
